Roy Reyes
Roy was introduced to Samba as a Music Director for Urban 15 for seven years and as a Music
Director and Program Coordinator for Samba Vida.  He has honored the traditional music and dances
of Brazilian Samba while studying the various Samba schools of Brazil and the USA. His music
background, while extensive and versatile, qualifies Roy as an established Mestre de Bateria.
Roy graduated from St. Mary's University with a  degree in Music Education and
also the United States Naval School of Music.

After completing four years of  High School Drum line, Roy played in the United
States Marine Corp band for two years, in the St. Mary's University Band for two
years, in the Trinity University Community Band  two years, and was the
Assistant Band Director for  Memorial High School Band for two years. Roy has
also been the Head percussionist for the VFW Band, the San Antonio Community
Band, St. Mary's Band, Beethoven Band, Trinity University Community Band, San
Antonio Municipal Band, Urban 15, the Alamo City Community Marching
Band, and the Comal County Concert Band.

Serving as the Musical  director for Samba Vida, Roy has dedicated
himself in bringing the true authentic rhythms of Africa and Brazil to Samba Vida.
Under his direction, Samba Vida has been the #1 Brazilian entertainment show
company  in San Antonio.
Dance Instructor

Seneca Patiño
Seneca started as a young dancer for Samba Vida and has grown to be an
established instructor for Samba Vida and one of our lead dancers.
She was a dancer in high school for the Warren High School Silhouette Drill
Team and became Co. Captain her senior year. As a college student,
Seneca is obtaining her Associate of Arts and is currently studying varieties
of dance of multiple genres. She plans to continue and receive her B.F.A
from Tx State University. Currently, she continues to study cultural dances
from all over Africa and Brazil.
In addition, we are very proud that Seneca, has joined Ryan Vizcaino, a
recording artist, as one of his dancers. We look forward to many more
successes.
Director & Choreographer

Jessica Patiño
Ms. Patino started as a young dancer in training in 2001, at the founding of Samba Vida.
She has trained extensively with various Brazilian artists to master the art and culture of
Samba.

Jessica is also a dancer for a Latin dance company, A&R Productions, based out of New
York City where she performed in Columbia, South America, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and
in the latin musical revue, Rumba Dreams

She also had the privilege to dance for the
Spurs Sports and Entertainment for the SA
Rampage Ice Girls, the WNBA Stars Star Squad and the NBA Spurs Team Energy from
2013 - 2015.

In addition, Jessica also choreographs and instructs privately for Quinceanera's, Sweet
16's, acts as a coach for dancers preparing for high school dance team auditions and
competitions, and recently dances for recording artist Ryan Vizcaino.

She hold's a degree in Dance and is currently continuing her education.
Jessica continues to direct at Samba Vida and produces our succesful shows all year
