Roy Reyes
Drum Director & Co-Founder
Roy was served as the Music Director for Urban 15 for seven years and as a Music Instructor for the United
States Naval School of Music.

After completing four years of  High School Drum line, Roy played in the United
States Marine Corp band for two years, in the St. Mary's University Band for two
years, in the Trinity University Community Band  two years, and was the
Assistant Band Director for  Memorial High School Band for two years. Roy has
also been the Head percussionist for the VFW Band, the San Antonio Community
Band, St. Mary's Band, Beethoven Band, Trinity University Community Band, San
Antonio Municipal Band, Urban 15, the Alamo City Community Marching
Band, and the Comal County Concert Band
, and most recently, the Los Angeles Community Band

Serving as the Musical M
estre for Samba Vida, Roy has dedicated
himself in bringing the true authentic rhythms of Africa and Brazil to Samba Vida.
Under his
musical direction, Samba Vida has continued to be the #1 Brazilian entertainment show
company
in Texas.
Jessica started her passion for Samba at age 11, where she began as a drummer with a local drum
group under the direction of Roy Reyes. In 2001, Samba Vida was formed and she began her training.
By the Age of 19, Jessica was highly involved in the dance program for Samba Vida. By 2008, she
stepped into the role of Samba Vida's instructor and choreographer as Dance Director.

Jessica has trained extensively with various Brazilian artists to master the art and culture of Samba.
Jessica w
as also dancer for a Latin dance company, A&R Productions, based out of New York, from
2007-2018. She had the privilege of traveling to Cali, Colombia with the company as a performer, as
well as was a part of the hit
the Latin musical revue, Rumba Dreams.
She also had the privilege to dance for Spurs Sports and Entertainment for the SA Rampage Ice Girls,
the WNBA Stars Star Squad and the NBA Spurs Team Energy from 2013 - 2015.

In addition, Jessica also choreograph
ed and instructed privately for Quinceanera's, Sweet 16's, acts as
a coach for dancers preparing for high school dance team auditions and competitions, and recently
dance
d for recording artist Ryan Vizcaino. She is also currently working as a Wedding Coordinator in
San Antonio, TX.


She holds a degree in Dance and is currently continuing her education in Nursing

Jessica serves as the current Director, Choreographer, and Producer and is honored to continue the
success of Samba vida
Flo Reyes
Co-Founder / Show manager

Formed in 2001 by Flo Reyes and co-founded by Roy Reyes, Samba Vida is a
community based organization which features a Samba school concept where people
of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds can involve themselves and their families in a
recreational activity of dancing and drumming, is still our mission today. Our directors
and members dedicate themselves to educating and entertaining people of all ages
and sharing the love of dance and music through Samba and related ethnic styles.
Flo now continues to help Jessica with our day to day operations to bring every unique
show we offer to our clients.

Seneca also started her Samba training with Samba Vida at age 8. She has graduated with a
degree in Dance and has been one of the lead dancers in Samba Vida's high energy show. She
is currently an
Stage Manager for Samba Vida.
